The Things that Get to Us . . .
I was cleaning out my garage the other day, and found the first printer I purchased, an original version of the Hewlett Packard (aka HP) DeskWriter. This was the first generation of inkjet printers made for the consumer market, costing only $1,195.00 when introduced in 1989. Being a good techie, I unboxed it, purchased a new print cartridge, tested it, and have put it up on eBay for auction. As I packed it up for the last time, I found myslef verklempt by the moment. This is a 20 year old printer, and was among the first things I purchased when I got my first job out of college. Very little from my life back then remains, and it just got to me.
